Ethics of Introduction

Which is ethically correct?

Equal opportunity; if an agency finds the role and makes the first introduction then they should be entitled to the same £3000  incentive.

OR

Conflict of interest; the agent has been retained by the employer and therefore a “success” fee of £3000 from Dom could represent a conflict of interest.

    Hello Dom,

As promised I’m having a read. Personnally I think that there IS a conflict of interest UNLESS the agent and employer agree in advance.

Frankly, I don’t think any agent would risk a Client relationship for just £3k.

    That’s my two-penny-worth.

Good news for employers. The feedback I am getting from some recruitment agencies is that instead of making a claim on the Introduction Fee they will be allowing their clients (the employers) to offset the fee against their recruitment fees.

    Win win.
